Tribute To Bobby

What a friend we had in Bobby

Is the thought in all of our minds.

For he had a heart so generous

So loving and so kind.

He was always there to lend a hand

You didn’t need to ask.

For he lived the way Our Dear Lord taught

And placed his own needs last.

There was never a greater brother

He was always close to my heart.

From our childhood when I followed him and his buddies

Through this year when we couldn’t be apart.

He loved to help his daddy

Building and repairing all around dad’s home.

His goal was to be daddy’s great helper

And never leave him alone.

Bob knew every detail of all of his children’s lives

He shared their every goal and dream.

They all worked and played together

A truly inseparable team.

"If God didn’t make it I can fix it"

Is the motto he’d often recite.

Any house, or car, or kid’s school project

Any time, day or night.

Yes, Bob was a wonderful builder

But, his tools were not limited to wood and steel.

He built beautiful, loving relationships

Through his life we were privileged to feel.

Bob said he wished he had given us

Some profound words to remember.

Oh, Bob your whole life was an inspiration

Profound in its love -  so wide, generous, and tender.

So when you lift your eyes to the heavens

You can smile with the greatest delight.

Because Bob is there smiling down upon us

And his heart is a new star lighting the night.
